Assigning a user to a device can be done in two ways.

Setting up audio levels¶
The final and most important step in the setup of your Green-GO device is setting up the correct audio input settings. Each microphone has its own characteristics and therefore its gain needs to be set correctly. Setting the gain is done in the Audio profile of the device
Finding the right gain¶
Setting the right input gain and compression is important in order to prevent distortion, clipping or high signal-to-noise ratios.
- Select the right input source
- Turn off compressor and gate
- Speak into the microphone with a proper volume and from a close enough distance
- Raise or lower the gain so that the VU meter is around the wite line; 0dB
- Increasing and lowering the volume of speech should keep the VU meter in the orange zone; -12dB through 6dB
- If the dynamic vocal range is too high, the compressor can be enabled.
- To cut off background noise the gate can be set. Make sure that the gate is not triggered when speech is at a low level.
Setting up Audio Input on Devices Using Green-GO Control¶
Setting up the audio input gain device by device using the Green-GO Control software gives the user full control over each device.
- Select one or multiple devices with the same headset type
- Select the audio tab
- Find the right gain
Setting up Audio Input on a Physical Device¶
The Audio can also be configured with the menu on a device itself.
- Enter the menu
