Button functions

On some devices like the multichannel X the function of each button and respective touch screen part can be mapped to a special function.

Buttons

Each button can have a function assigned. Depending on the selected function, the behavior of the Button or Touchscreen section is changed.

Function Description button
Channels
Channel 1-32 the button enables a talk on the set channel with the set talk behavior. the touch screen function can be set to one of the three available modes.
Screen Functions
Call Mode when the button or screen is pressed the Call mode for the touch screen function is selected Call
Cue Mode when the button or screen is pressed the Cue mode for the touch screen function is selected Cue
Cue Cancel when the button or touch screen is pressed the active cues will be canceled Cue cancel
Listen when the button or screen is pressed the listen mode for the touch screen function is selected Listen
Listen/Call The touch screen has a Listen and a Call button. Pressing the touch screen will set the function accordingly. Listen_Call
Talk Settings
Answer/Reply the button triggers the answer function according the answer mode. The display will show the the name of the User or channel to which the reply is send. Answer
Isolate The touch screen and button will toggle the global isolate state. Isolate
Mic Kill By pressing the touch screen or button in combination with a channel button a *mic kill*will be send to all users on that channel, deactivating active talks. Mic_kill
Cough Mute The cough mute function will temporary disable the own input as long as the button or screen is pressed. Cough
Audio Profile
Audio Profile Select toggles between the two audio profiles. the button will show the current selected input source.
Levels
Main Level sets the main level. the current set level is shown in the display.
Headset Level sets the headset output. the current set level is shown in the display.
Speaker Level sets the internal speaker output. the current set level is shown in the display.
Line out Level Sets the level of the user to the Line Out.
Direct level The button sets the level to the encoder. The touch screen TBA
Program level The button sets the level to the encoder. Pressing the setup key simultaneous will open the Program audio assignment Menu
Room level The button sets the level to the encoder.
Announcement level The button sets the level to the encoder.
Emergency level The button sets the level to the encoder.

When the button or touch screen is pressed the encoder will temporary get the corresponding level control.

setup shortcut

Many of the functions available offer direct access to the corresponding menus. To do this, the setup function key must be pressed together with the corresponding function key. The corresponding option menu is then shown in the upper display of the MCX * station.
